Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Shovel Street ("the game"), published by ChillScale Games (Daniel Peter Nagy). By installing or playing the game you agree to them. Effective date: 01.11.2026.
Your licence to play
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play Shovel Street for your own non-commercial entertainment. The game and its content remain our property, except the third-party open-source components listed on the credits page, which stay under their own licences.
The things in the game
The neighbours, the houses, the shops and the firms in the game are made up; any resemblance to a real person or company is coincidental. Snow and shovelling are simplified for play.
Shovel Street is a game, not a training course. Soldering, solvents, paint stripper, power tools and a lathe are real hazards in real life: never copy what you do in the game without proper instruction, protective equipment and a safe place to work.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the game, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Sell, rent or distribute the game or modified copies of it.
- Use the game or its content in a way that breaks the law or infringes anyone’s rights.
Price
Shovel Street is free to download and free to play. The game shows no ads and has no subscriptions or anything else to pay for; the coins you earn in the game are play money and can’t be bought, sold or exchanged.
Your progress
The game needs no account and plays fully offline. Your progress and settings are kept only on your device: we have no copy of them, so we can’t restore them if you uninstall the app, clear its data or lose the device.
Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue the game at any time. An update may change the map, the jobs or the way the game plays; we try to keep your career working across updates, but can’t promise that every earlier state carries over.
Disclaimer and liability
The game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Termination
You may stop using the game at any time by uninstalling it. If you breach these terms, your licence to use the game ends.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
